What The Hell Is HTML, CSS And JavaScript???

So, A lot of you, Probably All Of You Are Here Because you have made up of your mind about starting your journey as a Web-Developer but you’re struggling to know about what these terms mean? Let’s Begin and clear all your Doubts.

First of All, I would like to say that It is okay if you’re just starting and don’t know what the heck does these terms mean. When I started my journey I was just like you very confused about everything but then I realized that it is okay to be confused. Everyone out there is confused but they choose to sort out their confusions and move on to learn new things. That is exactly what you have to do. With that’s said and done Let’s Move On.

As I said earlier You Have To Learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript to begin as a Web-Developer. So You might have these questions in your mind

• What Are these things?
• What Do they do?
• Why Should I learn them?

What Are These Things?

In Technical Terms, HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is the standard markup language for documents to be displayed in a web browser. CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. It is a simple language or mechanism to add styling to your Web Page which was built using HTML. Now JS stands JavaScript which is a programming language used to provide the functionality to a Web Page Like how would a certain element react when clicked and all that stuff.

Now All This Stuff Might Look Like A Lot to take in at once. So I’ll explain them rather in a simple way.

Let’s Think Of a Website or Webpage as your body and relate it’s components to your body parts.

• HTML is to Webpage what Bones are to your Body. The Basic Structure.

• CSS is to WebPage what your outer appearance (Your Body Colour, Your eye Color, The Shape of your face or your nose etc.) is to your Body. It provides the styling, The Designing.

• Now JavaScript is a very important feature. It Provides Functionality to a webpage like breathing or digestion is a functionality of the body. JavaScript helps you to create those functions for your webpage.

By Now You Probably Have The Idea What These Terms Mean. You Can Learn Them For Free On Youtube or websites like freeCodeCamp.

Also At Some Point Of Time, You’ll See People telling you that HTML is not a programming language or you’ll see memes about it and you start asking yourself whether I’m doing this thing in the right way or not. All I can say even if HTML is not a programming language it’ll give you a head start in starting your career as web development. It’ll provide you with the confidence that you can do anything in the world. Don’t let some idiot tell you that it is not worth it.
